TVI Express Review: By ExpertMLMReview

TVI Express scam… is it a pyramid?
We’ve had a lot of requests lately to do a review of TVI Express because it is growing like a weed all around the globe. Travel based network marketing companies come with an inherent degree of skepticism in my book because there has been so much abuse in the past. There are 5 areas that we look at in reviewing every company but none more important than the product because if the product does not check out everything else is null and void.
Does TVI Express have a legit product? There are some immediate concerns when it comes to the product. First and foremost the corporate website at http://www.tviexpress.com does not even have a tab for their travel products. The website is primarily focused on the opportunity which is not a bad thing by itself as long as there is a clear understanding about the product somewhere… the problem is we can’t find much that resembles a product… ANYWHERE.
We found some product crumbs…
In the downloadable PowerPoint presentation from the corporate site (which is 75 slides long, only 4 of which reference any kind of product) and in the company’s video presentation at www.getinandhangon.com they refer to a “Travel & Earn Package” priced at $250. Apparently this package is also synonymous with becoming a distributor, which is a big problem right off the bat. There must be a clear demarcation between product purchase and distributor enrollment. When the two get thrown together there is an automatic assumption that distributors are getting paid to recruit (which is of course what qualifies an opportunity as illegal) because in fact there is no other way to get paid if there is not an option to purchase the product without joining the business. The package is supposedly valued at thousands of dollars, yet there is no explanation of how this valuation is derived. The really ironic thing is that in the slide titled “What Do You Receive when you become a Distributor” refers to perks resembling a product like a “6 nights/7days Vacation in one of the 5 star Hotels/Resorts across the world” and a “Free return flight ticket*” yet the slide talking about the “Travel & Earn Package” talks about perks that are only relevant to a distributor looking to make money. In reality the two slides are referring to the same thing, making it clear that there is no separation between product and opportunity which spells T.R.O.U.B.L.E. for TVI Express should they ever run into regulators which is likely to happen soon at their current rate of growth.
Benefit of the doubt…
Let’s assume for a moment that this was not a problem and look further to see if there is a real product contained in the distributor enrollment kit or “Travel & Earn Package”. The 6 night/7 day vacation and free return flight are both fulfilled in the form of vouchers. Do yourself a favor and Google the term “travel incentive vouchers.. One company offering strikingly similar vouchers to those described in the “Travel & Earn Package” is http://www.incentivelounge.com. In fact since Incentive Lounge is based out of the UK and TVI Express is also based out of the UK, our guess is that this is the exact company that TVI Express is using.
The problem with the TVI Express travel incentive vouchers…
They are not a retail product. They were never meant to be products. They are meant as incentive giveaways for promotional purposes. Direct mail companies use them to boost response. Large corporations use them as value added perks to create customer loyalty. Websites use vouchers to bait visitors into responding or registering on their site. Vouchers are sold by the thousands for pennies on the dollar with the assumption that most people will not use them. Very often there are “black out” restrictions and “booking fees” that make these vouchers more trouble than they are worth, but we’re not saying that vouchers are a scam, there are some legit voucher programs out there. The problem is that if these vouchers are the only thing resembling a product TVI Express is digging a hole they won’t soon be able to get out of for two reasons.
First off, when vouchers are promoted as an actual product and people are buying to actually use them, TVI Express is going to experience a much higher fulfillment of their vouchers than the industry average at which time whoever is TVI Express’ voucher supplier is going to either going to go out of business (which has happened on many occasions as the voucher business tends to attract scams artists to begin with), cut them off or massively jack up the price of the vouchers beyond the pennies on the dollar that allowed their comp plan to work in the first place.
Secondly, there is no way on God’s green earth that TVI Express is going to be able to show an attorney general or the FTC that their vouchers are actual retail products, and yet the vouchers are the only thing resembling a product in the entire TVI Express program.
The reality is that vouchers are the only way that TVI Express could possibly fulfill the 6 night/7 day vacation and free return flight perks because even with massive buying power no company on the planet could fulfill this by actually purchasing the travel.
At this point we are already comfortable saying that TVI Express is a nicely disguised illegal pyramid scheme. There is really no need to look any further but I will comment quickly on two additional points of my traditional analysis.
Is there anybody real behind the TVI Express veil?
Ummmmm… humphhhh… weelllllll… NOPE! The fact that the TVI Express chooses to hide who is behind the company and their heavily touted “solid investor group” is a good indication that something is not right. By itself this does not necessarily mean TVI Express is a scam but when combined with all the other red flags you can begin to see that things don’t add up.
The TVI Express scam website spend a lot of time selling the industry of network marketing and the legitimate names behind the industry like Warren Buffet, Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. They even mention Bill Clinton which I’ve never seen done before. Why so much time talking about these people and not the actually principles of the company or the famous investor group?
I could go on and on with this section but with such a black and white verdict, I don’t see the need.
TVI Express compensation plan comments…
I’m not a big fan of matrix plans and TVI Express is a perfect example of why. The matrix comp plan can be done legit (Melaleuca is a matrix and is one of the most solid and legal network marketing companies of all time) but most often they are used by companies only wishing to look legit. The whole matrix spillover concept attracts MLM junkies and scam artists who are really good at playing on the “quick buck” and “easy money” emotions. This type of comp plan is just too easy to abuse.
It would be a complete waste of my time to break down the TVI Express comp plan so I won’t bother…
Final thoughts & serious word of caution on the TVI Express scam…
The MLM based travel industry has traditionally been full of schemes looking to make a quick buck by touting big numbers and checks. After reviewing and analyzing TVI Express I have found that they are no exception. The old “too good to be true” line very much applies here. This review could have been the length of a novel but I do have a life and other companies to look at so I went only so far as to provide solid factual evidence that TVI Express is not where you want to invest your time and effort.
For those of you residing in the United States and/or Canada, and possibly other countries but I only speak on what I’m certain of, there is a well documented history of distributors being held legally liable for involvement in an illegal pyramid. Even if you had the best of intentions, realize that TVI Express resides in the UK so if the powers that be are going to go after anybody, it will be the top income earners here domestically.
Click here to read a very revealing German (translated to English) newspaper article that really cuts into TVI Express and does so with solid journalism, not the common MLM bashing you often find.
Yours in Success,

Shawn Cornett

I cannot believe the naive faith that cheche and some other TVI Express “supporters” have. They have absolutely NO evidence that TVI Express is legitimate (except their faith). They look at the evidence available and immediately dismiss them as “negativity”, “jealousy” and “hatred”. Then they bring out the logical fallacy “it is making money (therefore it is fine)”. Wake up! Bernie Madoff made money for DECADES! He now has NOTHING! Even his DINNERWARE were confiscated (they are fancy ones though).
One can be a loser if they fall for a scam on blind faith, and bazillion other ways, often beyond one’s control. NOT fall for a scam is one of the few things you CAN control. Study the evidence, and make up your own mind, instead of relying on blind faith, as cheche is begging you to.

That is the whole discussion: there really isn’t much there.
Are they registered as a business? In India and Cyprus, yes. In UK? Maybe. Anywhere else? Nope!
They have bank accounts? Yes. In Cyprus and India. Anywhere else? No idea.
But having business registration and bank account(s) do not prove business is not a scam. Many businesses have registration, and bank account, and was shut down by governments all over the world as business scam. Look at Bernard Madoff. He was chairman of NASDAQ stock exchange at one time! He was a famous stock trader for DECADES! And he is now proven to be a scammer.
TVI Express thus far have NOT proven they are not a scam. Alleged statements by Tarun Trikha are unofficial, and full of logical fallacies. Governments around the world are investigating TVI Express. Australia, Tajikstan, Georgia, Hungary, and more. China already declared it illegal and arrested many, and put it on “MLM Blacklist”.
What excuse is TVI Express supports going to present now? They already tried “critics just want to bash us because we help the poor”. What’s next? That we critics are spawns of Satan or aliens bent on global conquest?
Hey this thing is in South Africa already. I have been invited to join, so I decided to Google them and hey man its too good to be true
Cheche… just be curious and ask the questions that every1 is asking. Then see if you will get all the answers.Cos trust me there is no quick way to wealth. All we are doing is look find it suspicious and wonder. DONT YOU… Or you are just that naive. 250 DOLLERS is a lot of money to just throw and not be conserned.I for one think that this business benefits the company more than it does the so called distributors. They make a killing, do the numbers.by the way what hapennes if people no longer join to push you to reach the top?
So are you calling TVI Express a “good opportunity”? Your post is so schizophrenic I am not sure what you are saying.

Latest update: TVI Express member website reports that TVI Express members, which held the first ever “annual meeting” in Georgia, was served with a cease and desist order from State Attorney of Georgia in Atlanta. TVI Express had sent them NO help at all. They were also informed that Federal charges may follow if they don’t halt operations ASAP.

People are part of this planet needs.
Everybody needs money to pay their bills. Learning new ideas are good who believe in it. Positive thinkers are the only achievers of their dreams. TVI express helped me to smile, feel good, and share to people that as a Member we accept the reality to achieve our dreams in our own way.
As every said thousands of business is a scam. But if the Members who join TVI express have good heart and good intentions, GOD BLESS US WITH GOOD FORTUNE.
So the “new idea” you want them to learn is “join a pyramid, and suck the money of 200+ people”? Are you aware it is illegal, and punishable by jail sentence in most countries to operate a pyramid scheme?
No amount of positive thinking is going to change the fact that TVI Express is a pyramid scheme. Just as no amount of positive thinking will prevent you from sinking on a leaky boat.
From your response, I can make two observations…
1) You seem to be under influence of a cult. Cult characteristic: everything about X is wonderful, why don’t you join us. You have absolutely NO evidence that TVI Express is legitimate. All you have is this “faith” and devotion, but you are so dedicated to it.
I pity you, because when you finally realize you’re been backing the wrong horse. you’ll just fall that much harder. (Unless of course, you know you’re lying even now, but only you’d know that)
2) You fit the “Evangelical” type, one of the three types of TVI Express supporters I’ve identified so far. Does the following post sound familiar?
“… we have become a legendary record-breaking success story. 600,000 people cannot be wrong….think about it…..600,000 people in one year have become members in 160 countries. If you want to know the ins and outs of TVI Express and how you can become a team player with a great group that is dedicated to success not only individually but as a team then please contact me…” (actual TVI Express member comment on my blog)
A “lengedary success story” that doesn’t sell anything… Hahahahaha.

Just be careful Brunei. I’ve heard the sales pitch from a “perpetual 10k earner”. But any sensible person that’s not blinded by desperation/greed etc will wonder where the payout $$ actually comes from. How does the company keep itself afloat? “Selling” vacations? How any company finds the funds to finance all those holidays for all those new recruits (whose gullible numbers keep on growing i.e. until the market eventually saturates, of course) without actually selling anything (product/service)? The money has to come from somewhere and the only source I can trace where the $$ comes from would be recruitment/account “fees” of those that came before them…
I’ve read earlier posts where the counter-posters were annoyed that Brunei was mentioned. I’m assuming that they’re afraid that they’d have a hard time recruiting fellow Bruneians if the country was mentioned. That should also clue you in as to how recruitmen as opposed to the actual transactions of products/servicest, is crucial for them to make money; or shall I say, succeed in this pyramid system/scam…
“The Right Way”? Does that involve some form of witchcraft where your Conscience is ripped from your Soul so that you’ll be an effective recruiter, free from the burden of Guilt from ruining the lives of gullible people?
You want to talk about GOD? The path leading to GOD is full of obstacles, while the one leading to the Devil is lined with all manner of Temptation for the weak-souled…
Dear Concerned,
The answer to your question is very simple: TVI Express does NOT intend to redeem all the vacations it had given out. Even today, they will only admit to “thousands” sent on those vacations, and all in India. Indeed, by their own announcements, only 130 hotels (or so) in India are participating. The fact that they had announced in June 2010 that they will now charge additional $150 USD to redeem those vacations should tell you a lot.
Also, here’s a little secret: TVI Express don’t provide the trips. They are buying from somebody else, such as this outfit:
http://www.vacationgetawayincentives.com/resortgetaway.php
This resort getaway costs $178 per person, for 8-day 7 nights, 3-4 star resorts in the world.
Add some fees and taxes and exchange fluctuations, call it $400 for 2 people.
How much does TVI Express charge now for such a vacation? $250 + $150 = $400.
So basically, they are taking the money from those people who do NOT redeem their vacations. How? By making it impossible to redeem. The portal works only intermittently. It has been announced as working at least four times since company opened by their own announcements. The procedure was deliberately made difficult. Previously you had to choose three cities you want to go, then TVI Express will pick one, then they come back with 3 hotels, THEN you pick one, THEN you buy the air tickets and you buy the return tickets…
Furthermore, have you seen the disclaimer on the redemption page?
* if you have to cancel, you don’t get the trip back. It’s consider “used”.
* There’s a 1-yr limit at redemption. If you don’t use it in a year, it’s gone. (Later they supposedly added 6 months to everybody’s 1-yr limit, but that’s AFTER 18 months after the company started)
and a few other items, that TVI Express or its members won’t tell you.
One last secret… Go to that outfit’s website, and compare their certificate to a TVI Express certificate.
It’s EXACTLY the same size, down to the pixel. Furthermore, the design of the border is EXACTLY THE SAME. TVI Express version is more washed out and monochromatic, but the shapes are EXACTLY THE SAME. In otherwords, TVI Express stole the design.

Here is an excerpt:
False Analogies
By using emotive words with false analogies, TVI Express shills are hoping you will ignore all logic and join the scam. They use big words like “business opportunity”, “don’t you want to be successful”, and so on, and make analogies such as “TVI Express is a travel club like AAA (American Automotive Association)”.
This is a false analogy because TVI Express’s benefits are either worthless (selling you a “travel portal” that can be accessed for free) or impossible to redeem (the 7-day 6-night trip hotels are all in India, the redemption portal are usually out of order, and now costs extra $150 to redeem when it should have been “free”). What good is a club with worthless benefits?
Cited from Tvi Express is not a pyramid | The Voice Botswana NewsBlog ( http://www.thevoicebw.com/?p=3428 )
From Luckson Timela: … Products are not always in the form of something you can pick up and hold (tangible). If it were the case, what would you say about the banks and their services, insurance companies or Travel Agencies? Are they not selling services? What about our own local hotels that sell membership, which entitles an individual similar discounts that Tvi, express gives? Does it make them ‘pyramid schemes’? I doubt. …
The problem with this comparison is false analogy. The statement can be restated as follows:
a) TVI Express offers service
b) Legitimate businesses like banks, insurance, travel agencies offer service
therefore
c) TVI Express is legitimate
This is a false analogy. Just because A and B are allegedly alike in ONE aspect does NOT make them identical in OTHER aspects.
Comments welcome.
I’ve been trying to book my trip for months,,but their’s always some reason why it won’t let me book it.Talk @ scam..IF I knew where to complain to save other people from this and get my money back,I would file a complaint.
I have tried dealing with them and they ARE a ripoff……………..Cheche,,if you believe in them, why don’t you refund me my $250…
Not even people in Indonesia can book the trips. Detik news just posted a complaint from a TVI Express member.
Complain to your local law authorities. If you are in the US, complain to your state consumer affairs office, under the attorney general. Also tell your local TV station’s consumer reporter, BBB, and so on.

Hey Shawn,
I totally agree with you on this one! I hate going around saying things like, “TVI Express is a scam“, but this one definitely stinks. The MLM travel industry in general doesn’t exactly have a great reputation, so thanks for taking the time to help save the industry from the bad exposure it faces at times due to bad “companies” like this.
Have a great day,

I bought one of the travel vouchers because I trusted a friend. I thought I would save $. I ended up wanting to use it in Florida. Come to find out they don’t offer Florida as a state for the 6 night 7 day package and was only offered a 3 night 4 day package at a hotel. Turns out it would cost 115.00 just to pay taxes for the thing and I’d have to open up a foreign exchange account with Liberty Reserve to do so. I even went that far, but now I’d have to get a merchant exchanger to buy and sell the money to pay the taxes which on one end will cost at least 13.00.
So now I think I’m going to cancel the Liberty Reserve account and stop while I’m ahead.
I was better off booking a hotel myself. I found out it was actually cheaper that way. What a mess and I’m out 250.00!
Exactly! First they half-size your offer (7-days 6-nights to 4-day 3-nights), THEN they hit you on taxes (hey, isn’t taxes paid to the HOTEL, not to the company?) THEN you have to pay fees and a payment processor (like Liberty Reserve, which CANNOT be disputed)…
It’s a scam, no other way to put it.
After two YEARS of existence, TVI Express manage to publish their first ethical code ever just a few days ago, named “Ethical Marketing”, now available under their “Downloads”. Inside, they list 11 rules for their distributors, but also refer to non-existent documents such as “policies and procedures” as well as “code of conduct”, neither of which can be found on their website. It is clear this document is an insincere attempt to address the criticism leveled by this website and other critics of this scam, which only further “proves” that it IS indeed a scam.
Feel free to study the document in question and see where they cribbed the policies from.
TVI Express apparently moved their web server to Kiev, Ukaine. Traceroute resolves their server to Kiev, which points to a webhost with a website in Russian / Ukrainian.
Yet its members are still claiming server “upgrades”, even though TVIExpress.com was originally hosted on WorldNIC, part of Network Solutions, the biggest webhost in the world.

Just try to actually GET the service that you paid for. I bought 2 packages. What I fool I was. Like others, I trusted a friend’s word on this. I have been trying to receive my vacation packages for a year now with no results. The customer service dept. won’t respond to direct questions. They send back a form letter telling you that the system is “upgrading” and to be patient. If you try to redeem your 7 night certificate for travel, you will find a website that is non responsive & times out constantly. If you can get into the 3 night package site, you will find heavy taxes & fees must be paid in advance to reserve your room. If you search the reviews on the hotels that qualify under the TVI plan, you will find that they are time shares. The time share teams that approach you in the lobby are very agressive & won’t let you out of the “90 minute presentation” which turns into a 2 hour bout of arm twisting by high pressure pros. Just read the reviews for yourself on Tripadvisor. If I knew where to complain about this “service” I would probably just be joining the long list of losers that fell for this scam.
