Ambit Energy Review: By ExpertMLMReview
In the spirit of full disclosure, it’s only fair I let you know about any ties I have to the companies I review. This whole site started as a result of my disgust at all the negativity out on the internet attacking the network marketing industry. I wanted to bring some balance by providing positive reviews for companies worthy of such. It only makes sense that I would start this effort with the company I represent which is what I did and Ambit Energy is that company. Out of the 11 currently companies reviewed on this site, this is the only company in which I have a vested interest. In spite of my vested interest here I think you will find the research thorough and the review unbiased, especially when you consider my evaluation and positive recommendation of our competition. Enjoy the review and please share your thoughts below… Sincerely, Shawn Cornett
Ambit Energy Value Proposition…
The first place to look in determining if the Ambit Energy business (or any other MLM) is a scam would be the product they market. Many people would tell you otherwise but if the product does not check out every other aspect of a serious evaluation is pointless. In my opinion the product is also the easiest aspect to evaluate. There is only one thing to consider… is it consumer worthy? Also… is a significant percentage of total volume derived from true consumers (non-distributors) purchasing the product?
In other words is the product worth the retail price regardless of the opportunity to make money? If the only consumers of the service were it’s own distributor force then then Ambit Energy could be in trouble. In the case of Ambit Energy they pass this test easily. Energy is a commodity so there is no difference between the energy of Ambit and any other company so it comes down to price. While there are no verified numbers, at the time of this writing there are close estimates indicating Ambit has about 50,000 consultants (folks signed up in the opportunity) and over 200,000 customers which indicates they have plenty of true customers beyond just their base of distributors/consultants. In Texas you can check Ambit’s current rates at http://www.powertochoose.org, in New York you can check Ambit’s rates at http://www.poweryourway.com and in Illinois you can check rates at http://citizensutilityboard.org/GasMarketMonitor.php. At writing Ambit’s electric and/or natural gas rates were very competitive with the competition.
Ambit Energy Business Basics…
Ambit is a retail electricity and natural gas provider currently providing service in Texas, New York and Illinois. Because they are a “licensed” retail energy provider they have a certain degree of built in credibility that most network marketing companies do not. This is a result of the strict licensing process that states run companies through before licensing them to provide a public utility. Ambit started off in Texas where they are currently licensed by the Texas PUC (http://www.puc.state.tx.us), they expanded into New York where they are licensed by the New York Public Service Commission (http://www.dps.state.ny.us), they expanded into Illinois where they are licensed by the Illinois Commerce Commission. Ambit is also licensed in Ohio where they intended to expand but have not done so yet. It is uncertain as to the exact reason they have yet to open Ohio but it is certainly a point of frustration for Ambit consultants that this expansion failed to take place. Ambit Energy is based out of Dallas and is currently reported to be running at 500 Million a year in gross revenues.
You can research more about Ambit by visiting their website at http://www.ambitenergy.com,reading their press releases at http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/38630, checking their BBB report at https://www.bbb.org/online/consumer/cks.aspx?ID=1061113132812. You will find some Ambit Energy customer complaints on their BBB report but this is normal for a company of Ambit’s size that has nearly 100,000 energy paying customers. Ambit applied for DSA membership (http://www.dsa.org) on in September of 2008 and is currently within the mandatory 1 year pending approval period.
Ambit Energy Compensation Plan…
Ambit Energy utilizes what is known as a “coded” compensation plan which was most historically proven out with Excel Communications back in the 90′s. Ambit’s version of this coded compensation plan pays energy residuals based on customer usage through 6 generations. Leadership bonuses are also paid out as customers are gathered by new consultants. From a legal perspective the compensation plan must pay out based on the movement of products and/or services, not on recruiting, because no commissions or bonuses are paid out unless customers are gathered it looks as if Ambit’s plan is legally sound. It also looks good from a regulators perspective that Ambit Energy reportedly has about a 4/1 customer to consultant ratio.
Ambit Energy Business Ownership & Leadership…
It is important to know who controls the company and what their motive/mission really is. Common sense says that if the product, company and compensation are done right it should probably mean that there are solid people at the helm that made the decisions that got them to that point. The first test is if you can even find who is behind a company; network marketing scams will typically hide their identity while legit network marketing companies will proudly promote their leadership/ownership.
Ambit Energy was started by CEO Jere Thompson who had a successful history with telecommunication and he brought on Chris Chambles as his partner and CMO to handle network marketing distribution. Plenty has been written about both individuals on the internet scam boards where anyone can say anything about anyone at any time, common sense rules out most of this nonsense. Both these individuals have had a lot of success and some failure in their past, to detail all this would be a topic for another day which I may take up at some point but right now I will simply say that my research into their backgrounds leads me to believe that there is nothing in their past that would cause me to give a negative recommendation for Ambit Energy.
Ambit Energy Competitors…
There are plenty of competitors on a retail basis that Ambit competes with. At the time of writing there were about 15 competitors in New York, 30 in Texas and 13 in Illinois. The more accurate discussion regarding competition would have to focus on that of other network marketing companies. As of writing there are only 2 other network marketing companies of significance in the energy arena, Ignite and Zurvita.
Ignite is widely regarded to be the first company to prove that network marketing was an effective business model for energy. They are currently reported to be running at about 800 Million a year in gross revenues. Ignite is also based out of Dallas, TX and has a very similar compensation plan as well as service plans. Ignite is much bigger than Ambit in the Texas market but they have pursued different strategies as far as expansion, with Ignite choosing to pursue Georgia while Ambit headed to New York and Illinois. You may find that representatives for Ignite and Ambit are both very partial to their own company but the reality is that both companies are very solid. You can learn more about Ignite by visiting their website at http://www.igniteinc.com.
Zurvita is the latest arrival to the industry of network marketing natural gas and electricity. Zurvita is very different because they represent a long line of products and services while both Ignite and Ambit focus strictly on energy. Zurvita is not a retail energy provider by itself; rather they are a partnered with MXEnergy which handles their energy customers. The two companies have reportedly signed a multi-year partnership agreement. The advantage of this arrangement is that Zurvita has the ability to sign customers in Texas, New York, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio and Indiana. The major disadvantage of this arrangement is that ultimately Zurvita is simply a reseller for MXEnergy which means that both companies are going to have to get a cut of the pie. Either this will affect the rates or it will affect the residual income that Zurvita is able to pay. It would make this author very uneasy to build a customer base for a company when it is only a reseller for MXEnergy which holds all the marbles. You can learn more about Zurvita at http://www.zurvita.com and MXEnergy at http://www.mxenergy.com.
Concluding remarks about Ambit Energy…
There is no Ambit Energy scam or Ambit Energy pyramid. They have a real product/service which their distributors market to end consumers at a competitive price.
The company has individuals at the helm with with a verifiable background and no history of sub par business practices. Their compensation plan is legal and they have inherent credibility derived from the fact that they have passed the licensing process to become a retail electric provider for the states of Texas, New York, Illinois and Ohio.
Yours in Success,

Shawn Cornett

I have been with Ambit for 6 mos and have found this a very honest, fast paying company. They have a back office that allows consultants to see every part of thier business in realtime. It is the most advanced office I have ever seen. They are great at providing training and support. My energy cost have been lowered significantly and my friends and family thank me for having them try this service. This compnay also has been licensed by the Public service commission to sell electric in NYS so that process alone will tell anyone whom is investigating that NYS thinks that Ambit is a viable company. They are also rated A with the BBB and in process of becoming member of the Direct sellers association….that is prestigeous in network marketing,They have Green Certified energy also!
I am looking foward to seizing the opportunity that Ambit has put in each one of its consultants hands and help them become the number 1 Respected and Finest Energy provider in the USA and possibly the world! So please all that read this, look at the facts that can only be found by the reputable sources as BBB and public service commission to get your information.Do not take some unverified source as your ticket to missing the best ride to financial freedom out there…Energy Deregulation!
I have been an Ambit consultant for 18 months. This is my first attempt at Network Marketing. I have been told by others in Ambit how lucky I was to have this opportunity as my first. They explained to me all the strengths of Ambit … Product/Service, CEO & CMO as well as a Furtune 500 corprate team, Invester strength, direct Energy purchasing agreement with the now, Number 1 Corperation in the World. Their Compensation Plan, Upline Support, Regular Seminars and Training. I could go on and on. It has been a learning experience for me and understand that all the things I previously mentioned are extremely important, but all that means nothing if you don’t put the time in. You won’t get rich over night. You need to go into this with the understanding that persistence and perseverance along with a supportive upline over time will make almost everyone successful. Ambit Energy has made changes in their 3 short years of business, all of which were in the best interests of its customers and consultants. Go to AmbitEnergy.com and listen to Jere Thompson Jr and Chris Chambless speak, I’m certain you will want to be a part of a company that is on pace to be the fastest company to a Billion Dollars, beating out Google who was the last company to do it.
Ambit is the best thing since Tesla had an electrifying idea…
If you know that mlm’s are not candy coated peanuts then you should be excited as a 16 yr old getting a free one at an upper east side house of ill repute. When I heard that as a distributor I was not getting a closet full of cleaning, beauty, body, or vitamin products I handed over my 455 and started out changing my clients electric and gas suppliers. The fact that only NY, Il, and Tx have deregulated the supply of energy means there are 45 more states that will be in Ambit’s customer base in the next 1-5 years and all you have to sell them on is paying less for their electric and gas! Now do you get it?
Some great energy there ejag72, just be careful to not over hype, that is what drives people crazy. Energy is a perfect fit for network marketing but that does not mean that everybody is a perfect fit for Ambit. There are many great companies out there, it’s a matter of finding the right company for your passion. Sounds like you have!
I don’t think people get the fact that your not going to make $45,000 your first 2 months that it takes time and thought to make money and to be sucessful. After visting a number of websites that claim ambit is a scam seems to me there made by people who think this a get rich quick business. I myself am looking to take advantage of this business opt.
I wanted to say Thank You for your time and investigative research into this. I am so new to Ambit but certainly not the MLM business. I view all experiences not so much as negative or postive but always educational and id like to share a recent example. My husband and I are 2 days in thats how new we are to Ambit. On my second attempt to have a potential customer I got a very strong no way network marketing premise to a pyramid scam reply. WOW was my first response but I kinda expected that knowing the source. However I said ok I need to educate me so I started googling and came up with the defination of MLM – Network marketing/Direct sales vs pyramid scams at entrepreneur.com. Great then I googled MLM companies and found a directory site npros.com that is an a-z directory of all MLM Companies – Network Marketing/Direct sales. So with so many of these companies how can it be possible that MLM or Network Marketing is all a scam. I continued to research it and actually came across so many sites that declare that ALL MLM and or NM is just that. Still not convinced I singled out Ambit as my search and I didnt stop. My conclusion was just that it takes great information, education and being open minded to look at all sides and to be sure that what ever decision we make that we do so intelligently and remain honest. I really appreciate your efforts to educate the public and help me to get a deeper look inside Ambit. The Market analysis I found extremely helpful and I feel very confident in standing by not only the Ambit company but by our decision to join them not just as a customer but as a consultant as well.

Thank you for a very fair analysis of Ambit energy. I am a Senior Consultant, have been with Ambit for 3 years, know the co-founders personally, and am proud to be in the organization. All the key leaders that I know, which is virtually all of them, are honest people, focused on promoting the company and the people who make it grow, i.e. the consultants. They put on frequent training sessions, some free, and some which have a minimal cost, but the bottom line is that all are focused on maintaining the founders vision statement; “To become the nations finest and most respected retail energy provider.” Customer service is job #1, per Chris Chambless, and both customers and consultants who have had experience talking to the corporate customer or consultant reps will attest to the courtesy and thorough knowledge they all have. As a Veterinarian of 35 years , I was looking for a way to retire with residual income and Ambit Energy has certainly provided that means.
I appreciate your Fair and Balanced report I will recommend this site to others.

All hype, no facts…
Who is Jerry Lewellin in Ambit Energy? i have worked for him before in November 2007 as a callcenter agent and Ambit Energy is one of our campaign product. we market this power provider.
Ambit is such a scam. They pay you pennies on the dollar for every customer you refer every month. It’s only in 3 states as well. Do not join this company.
Operating in 3 states and paying pennies on the dollar as you say are simple realities of the marketplace, especially in NY where you are located. The margins for energy are very slim in that state.
i would like to say that my boyfriend and i are very new to ambit – 6 weeks and that from such a large company and such prestige people being involved in ambit, that they never make me feel any less a person than they. Our experience thus far with ambit has all been very positive. And yes i have to agree that it is not a get rich quick opportunity, but I work 10 times harder at my waitress job and I hope someday i can strictly help other people be successful in this business instead of getting up every morning at 5:00 a.m. and slinging hash. The opportunity is real if you want to get out there and get motivated. Let’s see, 40 hours every week, every week, every week or work once and get paid for the rest of my life.
scam? well I am making already more then 1000 a month with them, if this is a scam I LOVE SCAMS!!… yeah only 3 states they are new they have not being in the business for 20 years or so… remember a company is built step by step…… take care..
ive never tryed ambit but i do know a handful of people who are successful and a much larger group who arent.. im currently apart of Primerica and i love it!! but both companies are the same in the sense that people who call it a scam don’t do the work that is required to see an income and the fact think that they are get rich quick programs.. the bottom line is that there is NO get rich plan out there and if there is let me know bc i want to know.. but those are my thoughts and do with them what you will

Ambit is such a scam. They pay you pennies on the dollar for every customer you refer every month. It’s only in 3 states as well. Do not join this company.”
Just so everyone knows, they pay musicians “pennies on the dollar” for royalties when they play the songs on the radio, and they pay financial managers 1% of assests under management.
Anyone who would say something like the above is obviously not a business person. That’s fine. Just keep your day job.
The fact that the company is only in 3 states is one of the reasons I got in. If it was in 50 states and everyone was a customer, there is no opportunity.
I’m a Senior Consultant with Ambit and extremely happy. This coming from a person that previously did not like network marketing or sales and have no built in clients. I am an NYPD police officer who has to get ANY business endeavor approved by the NYPD (they don’t endorse it, they just approve me to operate it as a business, so obviously it is not a scam), and previously I was an accountant, making it as high as Controller. You can view my linkedin profile below to see my resume like profile. If you have ANY desire to be in business for yourself and wanted to be at the right place at the right time, this is it. BUT YOU HAVE TO WORK, IT IS A BUSINESS YOU HAVE TO BUILD.
Good luck all.

Ambit does not deal with commercial just as you I’m sure don’t deal with residential. As you have so well put, commercial is a much more complicated customer acquisition process and as such does not fit well with the business model of network marketing.
As such, your comments on Ambit are just as uneducated and off base as most Ambit consultants would be of your business. The are two completely different worlds and and you have shown your complete ignorance of Ambit.
they tell you in the presentation that you need 15 customers…..they leave that you need 15 customers for each electricty or gas depends what you need for your free utility.
i helped my MC to get 17 accaunts all gas he qualified for free gas…..according to the presentation….
NOT according to ambit customer service . out of his 17 customers only 10 pay on time….the rest pay as they feel like…sounds familiar……you need 15 customers that pay on time….GEE LEFT THAT IN THE PRESENTATION ALSO…..now we need to tell customers PAY ON TIME ……what next with ambit…
my only 2 cents…..by the way MY MC called ambit customer service and complain why it does not mention in the presentation they told him he need over 30 customers to achive the free GAS …..presentation tell you only 15 !!!!!!!
Can anyone give me their customer service number???
Let’s assume that Ambit Energy is a very legitimate company for a minute. I think the more important issue is sustainability of the business model than whether this is a scam or not. Simple math tells you that with the 4 states involved that the binary matrix will end at some point. For example, if is my understanding is correct that there are currently 50,000 “consultants” and 200,000 “customers”. Ok? Per the business model and for anyone in the “up line” to make any money Ambit recommends each of the 50,000 consultants needs to get 4 more consultants and 15 customers is this a fair #? 50,000 x 4 = 200,000 consultants and 3,000,000 customers. Lets run this cycle just 1 more time as the new consultants now need 4 more consultants and 15 customers soooo 200,000 x 4 = 800,000 consultants and 12,000,000 customers. Now let’s take the total population of the 4 states Ambit is in, the TOTAL (kids etc) population is approx. 68,000,000 (http://www.guardian.co.uk/global/interactive/2009/jan/16/obama-white-house-obama-inauguration) and say 1 in 3 buy utilities so the total customer base is 22,000,000. What we are expecting is that in one more cycle of new consultants and customers that 50% of the total available utility customers will need to be on Ambit energy???? The math just doesn’t seem to work. IMO of course.
well, we have been Ambit customers for over 4 years and keep renewing our contract each month. They have great rates and deliver a quality product. Plus, we’ve earned a 3 day/2 night trip because of the amount we’ve used in electricity over that time. We didn’t join the MLM part of it and just enjoy using them as an energy provider. Anyone who wants to join to get rich quick may want to find something else.

Let me get this straight. You want to get a bunch of customers that don’t pay their bills, and you expect to be paid? Listen, anyone who wants a real business opportunity, this is it, and I am going to refer you to the original article written….by someone who actually did some research and uses some common sense.
On the get rich quick thing, no body in Ambit I’ve come accross has said this is get rich quick plan. Just the opposite, everyone I speak to says that this is a business and must be worked like a business.
I am curious to know the backround of all the posters here. You can check mine out on linkedin.

Great supporting info, thank you for adding to the review.
Ambit does not utilize a binary or a matrix compensation plan. Your attemp at explaining the concept of exponential growth assumes a “perfect world” scenario which is not at all what Ambit or any other legit mlm attempts to sell.
what a crock!
If my electric bill is $100 a month.. and Ambit promises to save my 1% on my current electric bill… That’s a savings of $1.00!!!! That’s not enough for me to switch…
Thank You for the excellent review. I must say that this is a awesome open minded report on a true MLM/NM company. Well with that said We became MC’s with Ambit about 5 and 1/2 months ago, today I(we) my wife also helps me in the business got promoted to Senior Consultants and have decided to keep rolling along in growing this business. I have firmly believed that from the start my sponsor and my EC have been excellent with their help and teaching me and my wife the business. Never and I mean never have they given out anything but the facts of this business. If any one is on the fence about this business feel free to check it out through and through. Good luck to all who have the fortitude to go in business on their own.Again thank you for a non bias report of the facts.
You are right my friend, I like when you said “There is no Ambit Energy scam or Ambit Energy pyramid. They have a real product/service which their distributors market to end consumers at a competitive price.
In addition to Shawn’s comment.. there are more than 20 states at some point of deregulation.. as the market opens Ambit will follow…. Ambit just added two new states to the customer opportunity base. I do not see customers “drying up”..
Ambit Energy is a great opportunity for people looking save on their energy cost and at the same time help others save on their energy costs. Currently Ambit is the #1 Top earning company as per INC 500 Magazine. Do I need to say any more?
We just made a major announcement of expanding markets and we are now able to offer the same savings opportunity to small businesses in TX.
I can go on and on about how great Ambit Energy is. Three thumbs up .. oops sorry I only have two thumbs. <img src=”http://www.electricitybid.com/electricity/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif” title=”Smile” border=”0″ alt=”<img src=”/>
Find out Why does Ambit Energy Work? http://bit.ly/9F7KwR
Save money and Join Ambit Now http://bit.ly/9Vn3kR
I attended a meeting tonight in Houston, TX at the Hilton hotel held by Ambit. I came because I wanted to see people for myself speak about the opportunity and make a decision after the meeting.
I’ve been in sales for over 10 years and in the past ten years, I couldn’t tell you how many times I was told I could make so much money and listen to all these people tell me how big their paychecks were. There were only 2 sales jobs which every proved to be lucrative; 1st one was selling Harleys and because they keep their value, they make you good $. My first bike I ever sold gave me a commission of $975 for one used Harley bike and I sold about 15 a month. I gave it up to become a flight attendant so I could travel the world, working long hours and on Sats didn’t cut it. The other sales job that paid very well was in roofing sales AFTER a hurricane/hail storm. One of my co-workers made $60k in one month after Hurricane Ike hit Houston (saw his paycheck myself). Well it’s been 2 years and the deadline for filing claims has come and gone.
So two weeks ago, I see an employment ad on a job search engine for Sales in Ambit and I send my resume. I get called back and go speak with the individual about the Ambit opportunity. Not fully convinced or too enthusiastic, I am invited to attend a meeting on this past Tuesday and I didn’t go. She calls me back and invites me to the meeting tonight and so I accept and attend the meeting held earlier this evening. So here are my two cents….yes, I believe the opportunity is real. I believe because I just didn’t hear from the major players, I heard from local doctors, lawyers, school teachers, single moms, pastors, salesmen, etc., who joined Ambit and who are becoming successful in the company. When you see the people and hear them speak, you know it is real. We were in a ballroom packed over the capacity limit and people of all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds and of various occupations were speaking up about the opportunity. You get lost with the compensation presentation but all I needed to understand is you get your first two customers signed up (real easy, I’m going to apt complexes to partner up w/them). Then you get 3 people to join under you and the flow continues and your checks come in and it doesn’t even matter after that. I can even sign my son up and have people join under him while he is in college and it provides him with a financial opportunity too!
I’m meeting with the Regional Consultant who has taken her time to show me the Ambit opportunity tomorrow to sign up. And hey, even if it doesn’t work which I can only probably blame myself if it doesn’t, I only invested $429 which I can claim on my taxes and say, “Hey, at least I gave it a shot!” I spend $429 to go shopping, fine wining and dining in a month so I am going to sacrifice and invest it in myself so I can turn $429 into $429,000 in a few years! Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself and work! Stay tuned…..
Just curious….you pull up to a corner with identical gas stations on each. One has gas for 2.49 per gallon and the other for 2.59 per gallon. Neither one impedes your travel time or route. Which one do you choose? Being the average car has a 12-16 gallon fuel tank, at best your saving $1.60. It may not be much, but at least it stays in your pocket rather than someone elses.
im 19 years old an my parents went to this meeting last night quit trying to feed people lies this is a straight illegitimate company interested in nothing but making money for themselves i dont understand how people that are already rich can be so prude with others ignorance. Im highly offended. My computer abilities are advanced enough that im not fooled by this Melaleucca replica of “company”…
This company rate are sky high.. DO NOT, DO NOT USE THEM!!!1
I totally agree. They are trying to double bill me, make my bill $800, AND disconnected me, and then raised my rates to 16.5! what can i do?
Ambit’s rates are no where near 16.5 and if you are double billed you must have been late on payment. I know if you call customer service they are very helpful to help you work out a plan that will help you get caught up.
Congrats on being open to a chance! That’s what life is all about, Right?
I didn’t know anything about this marketing thing until I came to this site. I had years of perfect credit with Direct Energy but because I have stayed with family this past 2 years I haven’t had my own service. Green Mountain outright refused me, Bounce wanted a $325 deposit, Direct wanted $400. So I saw an Ambit billboard and did a search for help with high deposits and Ambit came up. Only a $100 deposit for my new place.
As far as any sales it isn’t any sort of requirement is it? I am in law school and have a job at the school and I am NOT interested in sales. I just needed some power. Is that ok? lol
Just a quick question to establish objectivity. Have you ever or are you in any way associated with Ambit? Have you received or will you receive any compensation, financial, services or products, etc, from Ambit for your review?
Yes that is ok, you do not have to sell anything you don’t want to. All you have to do is sign up for electric service and you are on your way to saving. If you would like you can look at my website and it will help you with the process if you are not signed up it. My website is Rawlsfreeenergy.joinambit.com. or you can contact me through that website and I can help you personally if you would like. I think they are a great company and I myself have already saved about 300 dollars in the past 3 months on my electric bill. I am happy with them. Good Luck to you!
Another point to consider with your $100 electric bill. What portion of the bill is an energy service or delivery charge? In NY the service charge is roughly 60% more than the supply charge. So that $100 electric bill equates to only $40 of electricity supply. The electricity supply is the ONLY portion that AMIBIT gaurantees a lower rate on. When you do the math 1% of $40 is actually a whopping savings of 40 cents. I agree that the actual benefit of the product alone is not worth the switch.
Have you seen the cover of Inc500? or InBusiness? or Success From Home Magazine?? Ambit Energy has graced the cover of all of these magazines. You mean to tell me that these HIGHLY credible magazine companies would jeopardize their reputation by putting a hoax on the COVER? have you checked out the better business bureau? Its easy to slander any company but I challenge you to do the research and you will see that there are no smoke and mirrors here. There are REAL dollars being made and TRUE savings for every customer involved.
I sure wish I had a $100 a month gas and electric habit! Mine is double that and I would add, I am saving $30/month with Ambit every month. I signed up some friends and they are saving $60 a month. This is real.
The spelling is Melaleuca, and if someone can show me a better opportunity out there right now than Melaleuca, with their compensation plan, I might consider joining whatever you’re doing. I’ve had 5 people recently try to “convert” me to their company and none of these 5 companies compared or came close to what Melaleuca is.
Through acquisitions, my friend, they grew, not that this is bad but one has to peel the onion back further and not just accept the rhetoric one hears at meetings. Inc. 500 magazine started reporting on Ambit after they acquired Ignite
I attended an Ambit meeting in South Florida this evening. I asked the presenter a simple question, and he gave me an honest answer. My question was, “if someone wanted to make $500 residually per month with this company, approx. how many people/customers would that take?” The answer was, “approx. 600 people.”
Now, In the company that I’ve been affiliated with from a business perspective for the past 18 months, (and as a customer for 7 years) with their compensation plan when I have 600 customers, I’ll be making approx. $5000 per month residually.
Do the math, 600 customers = $500 per month residual income with Ambit.
My company, 600 customers = $5000 per month residual income.
This isn’t a joke and I don’t mean to offend but I know with whom my financial future is better off with after going to the Ambit presentation. It’s a great opportunity; however, one needs so many customers to make a little residual income :’(
The 1% is a minimum guarantee. I have people save upwards of 15%.
Regardless, honestly, the statement “that’s not enough for me to switch” doesn’t even make sense. If it was to save .01 each month for the rest of your life, it’s a free penny you have to do nothing to get.
What’s ironic is everyone who has ever said that to me is at the middle class level or below and struggling. Anyone with money I show this to jumps at the chance to save $10 a month or $1 a month. The rich seem to like money – whether making it or saving it.
That isn’t what its about anyway. It’s about helping someone you know who asks you for help with their business. If it won’t cost you anything, it won’t inconvenience you, it’s guaranteed to save you money, and it would really help someone with their business, why wouldn’t you give your business to a friend that asked? Or family member that asked? My family and friends gave me their business…
hmmmmm…
